The United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) declared 21st of June as the International Day of YOGA, on 11 dec 2014, the declaration cam after an appeal by hon’ble Prime Minister of India Shri Narendra Modi.

The Hon’ble Prime minister Shri Narendra Modi has desired to spread India’s traditional Knowledge worldwide with credible system which shall provide India the leadership in assuring quality of yoga practices across the world.
World Association of Yogic Sciences (WAYS) responding tot he call of Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi has taken an initiation to make personnel Certification Body (PrCB) approved under the scheme for voluntary certification of yoga professionals owned by QCI launched by Ministry of AYUSH.
World Association of Yogic Sciences has an independent entity within itself named WAY CB by giving functional autonomy to it.
At present, there is a lot of variation in the quality of professionals coming out of existing yoga schools.
This scheme is intended to homogenise the whole chain through which professionals and institutes are accredited so that there is a uniformity in the entire Yoga Curriculum.
